Following the initial race, the player will be directed to the ModSpot, M.N.R.’s central hub for players to gather. These weapons can be obtained from item pods scattered throughout the track, and each weapon has three levels, starting at level one and increasing with each item pod picked up. The first race introduces the player to the controls and some aspects of the game, such as rockets, sonic weapons, lightning weapons, and boost power-ups.
